“...Nothing comes from nowhere.” — Austin Kleon
Nothing comes from nowhere
“What a good artist understands is that nothing comes from nowhere. All creative work builds on what came before. Nothing is completely original.” — Austin Kleon, author of Steal Like An Artist
Paul of The Bible writes almost the same with a spritz of gratitude, stating:
“For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?” (1 Corinthians 4:7)
Thanks, Paul! That helps healthy humility happen towards grateful appreciation and giving credit where credit is due.
“I say, It’s about giving attribution, ol’ chap! What?!” —Leonard, pub patron.
Look around your office, home, bar, club, neighborhood, or gathering. It won’t take long to recognize those to thank for what they’ve given to you.
Now, let’s do it! Let’s get up, cross the room, reach out, and say “Thank you.”—Daily, and for the rest of our lives.
Best re-Arghs!
